In the poll about Democrats reacting to Biden revelations, I agree with two of the options: Yes, we should acknowledge and learn from the experience. It feels his true condition was hushed and kept from the public and he should never had planned to run for reelection. I'm slowly coming around on the idea of age limits for holding political office, even as they seem arbitrary.

BUT, the top option is also true and is more relevant - the CURRENT person in charge of the country is obviously not only demented, but unlike Biden is cruel, incompetent, and vile in every conceivable way and is actively causing great harm to the country right as we speak! So yes, let's make a note that we've been misled by "our side" and keep that in mind in the future, but let's quickly move on and focus on the unfolding catastrophe at hand.

Look, Biden obviously had mental issues. More and more information is coming out. This man was the leader of the free world and it's hardly appropriate to have someone with those kinds of problems, with among other things, his finger on the nuclear trigger. My problem is MAGAs using Biden's issues to justify the actions of Trump. Biden is gone. He's no longer in charge. We can't go back in time and fix things. What exactly do MAGAs want us to to do about it? As far as I know senility is not a prosecutable offense. Trying to protect people doing the pandemic may have produced some mistakes. But they are not prosecutable. Trying to protect consumers and the environment is not prosecutable. Did his so-called handlers cover things up? It looks like it is entirely possible. But what about it is prosecutable? Trump is in office now. He is trying to run a one man show and ignoring the Constitution while doing it. This is happening now as I type this. Do we use Biden as an excuse to let him get away with it? Do we need to wait until he is out of office to fix things? Eric used a nice example of his blather. Trump is any better? There's a large difference between Trump and Biden. Much of what Biden said was blamed on his senility. What's Trump's excuse? Either he is just as senile or he just a person of very bad character with really low intelligence. His own people have difficulty explaining what he really meant when he rewrites history or says something really embarrassing. They are less guilty of covering up then Biden's people? Let's stop the nonsense. Quit blaming Trump's words and actions on Biden. Accept the words and actions of Trump as the words and actions of Trump. Try to remember it was Democrats that pretty much pushed Biden out of running again. I don't see Republicans opposing anything Trump says or does as they cringe behind conservative voters. As I type this there is a minor rebellion by right wing fanatics, concerned that cuts in social services don't go far enough. There are a few with a lot of of people in their districts dependent on Social Security and Medicare worried about those. But none of it comes back on Trump. His trade war was inane from the start. His warnings to Walmart are insane. As a businessman he would simply "eat the costs of tariffs" Let's get real here. This is about Trump. It can't be blamed on Biden. What do MAGAs propose, that in the future, all leaders be required to take examinations of mental capacity? Of course, if they did, it wouldn't start until Trump was no longer in office. Before anyone tells me that Trump aced cognitive tests, tell me why I should trust his words or anyone that works for him.
